BARC scientist commits suicide

Mumbai: Titas Pal, 27, a scientist of grade III at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre was found hanging at her residence on the BARC premises in Trombay here on Wednesday, police said. S.B. Jagtap, senior inspector, told The Hindu that Ms. Pal lived alone. She is originally from Kolkata. He said statements of neighbours and those who opened the door were being recorded.

Last month, Mahadevan Iyer, an engineer at the BARC, was found murdered in his apartment.
