Bangladesh invites Tripura CM for National Day

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has been invited by Bangladesh to attend the celebrations of National day of the neighbouring country on March 26, officials said here on Thursday.

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dipu Moni sent a letter to Mr. Sarkar inviting him to attend the celebrations as a special guest, officials in the Civil Secretariat said.

The letter was received on Tuesday, they said.

It has not yet been confirmed if Mr. Sarkar would attend the function, officials said.
