Arunachal CM Khandu chairs maiden Cabinet meeting

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, who presided over the first meeting of the newly-constituted Cabinet on Wednesday, made several key decisions.

Keeping prime social sectors like education and health high on agenda, the Cabinet has unanimously decided to accord a holistic approach to streamline these prime sectors for welfare of the people.

The Cabinet directed the departments of health and education to prepare holistic proposals which fill all gaps and live up to people’s aspirations for implementation by the government, a statement stated

“Let us make Arunachal Pradesh a cent per cent literate and healthy state,” the Cabinet resolved.

In this regard, the Cabinet has approved to create posts for establishment of office of the Deputy Director of School Education in Longding and Capital Complex.

It further directed the department to submit proposal for creation of DDSE Office in all the newly created districts in the state.

Appreciating the hard work put in by the drivers, the state Cabinet approved enhancement of grade pay of drivers from the existing Rs 1,900 to Rs 2,400.

The Cabinet further cleared many cases of pay anomalies in various departments that have been pending for long.
