Army to search for man missing in the Sutlej

The Kinnaur district administration sought the Army’s help on Saturday to trace C. Magesh, who was trapped inside a vehicle that rolled down into a deep gorge and got washed away in the strong currents of the Sutlej on Thursday.

Deputy Commissioner D.D. Sharma said Commanding Officer Brigadier Vijay Thakur had promised all help.

Two of the three persons who fell out of the vehicle were killed on the spot. The other is in hospital. The tourists from Gujarat and Chennai were on their way to the State capital.
