Arms seized at railway station

In a major seizure, Mumbai police (Crime Branch) recovered 15 pistols, 24 magazines and 11 rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition from the Ghatkopar railway station on Sunday night.

“Twenty-seven-year-old Ritesh Laalji Singh alias Sonu is an illegal arms dealer suspected to be supplying weapons in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. On Sunday night the seventh unit of the Crime Branch intercepted information and trapped Sonu to recover a bag full of pistols and ammunition,” Himanshu Roy, Joint Commissioner (Crime) Mumbai Police said.
