With the Amarnath yatra under way, over 6.26 lakh pilgrims have offered prayers at the holy Ice Ligim of Lord Shiva, officials said on Saturday.

As many as 6,26,612 lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance at 13,500-feet high cave shrine in South Kashmir, they said.

Over 1,752 pilgrims visited the cave shrine on Saturday.

On July 21, a record 5 lakh pilgrim registered their arrivals at the shrine and on July 29, 6 lakh pilgrims made a record by visiting the cave shrine.

“The yatra is going on smoothly as pilgrims are paying obeisance without any difficulty,” they said.
