Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has unveiled the “Development Agenda for 2015-16” with focus on infrastructure and human resource development and transparency in administration.

Taking note of the Aam Aadmi Party’s landslide victory in Delhi, Mr. Yadav thanked the people of Delhi for “taking a judicious decision” ( sujh-bhuj ke nirnay liya ). The Chief Minister said the Bharatiya Janata Party would bite the dust at the hands of Samajwadi Party in U.P.

He said a timeline would be fixed for the completion of projects with separate budgetary allocation for overcoming financial crunch. The biggest challenge before the government in its first two years in office was how to implement the promises made to the people in the election manifesto. “Public welfare measures promised in the manifesto have been completed,” the Chief Minister said.
