Ailing M.P. Governor flown to Lucknow

Ailing Madhya Pradesh Governor, Ram Naresh Yadav was flown to Lucknow in an air ambulance on Thursday to attend the last rites of his son, Shalesh Yadav, who died at his residence in Lucknow on Wednesday.

Shailesh Yadav, who was found lying dead on the floor of his house, is an accused in a case relating to the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh.

A team of doctors is accompanying the Governor and he is expected to remain in Lucknow for the next two weeks for the entire period of the obsequies of his son.

According to Raj Bhavan sources, the Governor is yet to be informed about his son’s death since his health condition itself is very delicate. He was airlifted from a private hospital, where he is undergoing treatment for some respiratory problem.

A spokesperson of the Madhya Pradesh unit of Congress said that the party stood by its demand for a CBI enquiry into the death.
