Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh has asked his Cabinet Ministers to bring more transparency in departmental functioning and adopt ‘zero tolerance’ against corruption.

“In a letter to the Cabinet Ministers, CM Raman Singh has extended wishes to them for the New Year and directed to bring more transparency in the functioning of each government department,” an official said.

Stringent action should be taken against corruption in all departments and ‘zero tolerance’ will be top priority of his government, the official said quoting the letter.

In his message, the Chief Minister said the ruling government had introduced several rules and laws including Lokseva Guarantee Act, ‘Satyanistha Sandhi’ to put a check on corruption thereby bringing government and administrative functionary closer to the people.

To ensure benefit to the people, it is necessary to drive the government’s message among masses, he said.
