“Absconding “newspaper editor arrested for the murder of worker

Nagpur Rural police on Tuesday arrested “absconding “editor of a Marathi newspaper Deshonnati Mr. Prakash Pohare from Akola district for the murder of a worker in the paper’s printing unit near Nagpur.

Mr. Prakash Pohare and his bodyguard Harikrishna Triwedi were accused of killing Rajendra Krishnaji Dupare, a security guard at the paper’s printing unit near Gondkhairi village on the National No.6. on October 14.

Harikrishna Triwedi and five other bodyguards of Mr. Pohare were already arrested by the police and special search operations were launched for “absconding” Mr. Pohare.

“Mr. Pohare was arrested from his farm house near Akola on Tuesday morning” the PRO of Nagpur Rural Police Inspector Dinesh told The Hindu . “ He has been brought to the Kalmeshwar police station and was produced before the magistrate. He has been given Police Custody Remand (PCR) till October 25” added Inspector Dinesh.
