Aam Aadmi Party youth wing president Harjot Singh Bains on Sunday said his party workers will gherao Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s residence here on May 16 to protest “anti-people and anti-farmers polices” of the SAD-BJP combine government.
Slamming the State coalition government for “completely ruining” the farming sector in Punjab, he alleged the debt-ridden farmers have been forced to commit suicides.
The Youth Wing president said during this procurement season the farmers were “compelled” to make frequent rounds to the commission agents’ shops for payments of sold crop.
Mr Bains criticised Mr Badal government’s alleged “anti-people” policies, including failure in various schemes for public. -- PTI
