Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has become the “most liked Chief Minister” on social media platforms, leaving behind Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and U.P. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

Her official Facebook page has notched up more than 71 lakh ‘likes’ so far. The Chief Minister's Office said in a statement here on Tuesday that Ms. Raje had effectively used social media channels to communicate with her supporters across the globe.

“On Monday, Ms. Raje has become the most followed CM in India, closely followed by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal,” said the CMO.

Mr. Kejriwal's Facebook page has 70.87 lakh ‘likes’, while Mr. Yadav has 54.85 lakh ‘likes’.

The next Chief Minister in the list is Shivraj Singh Chauhan of Madhya Pradesh, who has 37.06 lakh ‘likes’, while West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee ranks fifth with 23.66 lakh ‘likes’.

Ms. Raje's team closely monitors the opinions coming on social channels and takes follow-up action to ensure help for those who ask for it, though “without obvious showcase”. The CMO said Ms. Raje's huge following was a symbol of her growing popularity on social media.

The Rajasthan CM has been using social media platforms to engage and communicate with people, often broadcasting the achievements of her government, her vision for the State and its people and seeking ideas on various aspects.
