71 IAS officers transferred in Haryana

The transferred officials include Secretary, Archives Department and Director General, Archives, Ashok Khemka who was instrumental in exposing the Robert Vadra-DLF land deals

In the first major bureaucratic reshuffle since the formation of the Manohar Lal Khattar Government of the BJP in Haryana in October, 71 Indian Administrative Service officials have been transferred with immediate effect.

The transferred officials include Secretary, Archives Department and Director General, Archives, Ashok Khemka who was instrumental in exposing the Robert Vadra-DLF land deals. He has now been posted as Transport Commissioner and Secretary, Transport Department.

Though Mr. Khemka, who had cancelled the mutation of Vadra’s in Shikohabad in Gurgaon, upon finding irregularities in his deal with DLF, was in July this ear even tipped to be moved to the Prime Minister’s Office and it was said that the recommendation to the effect had been approve, the matter did not fructify.

In the reshuffle, 19 of the 21 Deputy Commissioners and two Divisional Commissioners have been transferred.
