In a major administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government shifted 36 IAS officers on Thursday. Among those transferred are five senior officers of the rank of Principal Secretary, and others of the rank of Commissioner, District Magistrate, Secretary and Special Secretary.
According to an official spokesman, Principal Secretary, Home Guard and Civil Defence, Sanjeev Dubey who was holding the additional charge of Institutional Finance, has been divested of the additional charge. Principal Secretary, Finance and Additional Resident Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh in New Delhi, Rahul Prasad Bhatnagar, has been given additional charge of Institutional Finance. Renuka Kumar, who was awaiting posting has been made the Principal Secretary, Women Welfare and Director General of State Nutrition Mission. Another officer, Jitendra Kumar is Principal Secretary, Handloom and Textile Department, is awaiting posting.
Principal Secretary in the Milk Development Department, Anant Kumar Singh has been given the additional charge of Fisheries Department , whereas the Secretary, Housing and Urban Planning, Rajiv Agarwal has been given additional charge as Secretary in the Home Department. Mr. Agarwal is also the Managing Director of Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation. Secretary, Women Welfare, Kamini Chauhan Ratan goes as Secretary, Finance, the Secretary in the Rural Development Department, Sudhir Kumar Srivastava, has been moved as Commissioner of Basti Division.
Sanjay Prasad, Secretary, Home has been transferred as Secretary, Medical and Health and Dhiraj Sahu, Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department becomes Secretary, Planning. The Secretary, Information Technology, Prabhat Mittal has been made Commissioner, Rural Development.
Commissioner of Varanasi Division, RM Srivastava has been given the additional charge of Mirzapur Division, the District Magistrate of Sultanpur, K. Dhanalaxmi is awaiting posting. Special Secretary, Agriculture Production Commissioner, Aditi Singh is the new DM of Sultanpur. Special Secretary, Irrigation, Ranjan Kumar replaces Ravi Kumar N.G. as Gorakhpur District Magistrate. Mr. Ravi Kumar has been placed on the waiting list.
The Shahjahanpur DM, Aparna U has been shifted as Special Secretary, Revenue. She has been replaced by Shubhra Saxena in Shahjahanpur.
