3 Maoists held in Orissa

Three Maoists, allegedly involved in civilian killings, were arrested today from a forested area in Orissa’s Sundargarh district, police said.

The ultras, identified as Illajdar Lakra (35), Nima Xalxo (30), Pawal Kerketa (45) of neighbouring Jharkhand, were apprehended from Raidihi jungle during combing operation by CRPF, Special Operations Group (SOG) and police.

During the raid on a rebel camp, the securitymen seized written Hindi posters, police said.

Interrogation of the arrested were being conducted at Chandiposh police station.

All the three ultras were involved in the killing of five persons in Topadihi and Langalakata villages during last week, they added.
