3 bodies recovered from avalanche site in J&K

Bodies of three persons who were buried under an avalanche a fortnight ago were recovered in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, police said.

The Army assisted by police and locals recovered the bodies after a two-day long search operation using electronic detector at Padyarna village, 160 kms from here.

The deceased have been identified as Mohmad Ishaq, Gulam Hussain, Mohmmad Hussain, they said, adding the bodies have been handed over to their families.

Four villagers were buried under an avalanche on January 8 when they were on way to Padyarna village in Kishtwar district.

Search is on for the missing person, police said.
