About two lakh children from various schools in the city will support the campaign “Joy of Giving” launched by Give India Movement.
Talking to media persons here vice president of Rotary Club of Rajkot Midtown Kalpraj Mehta said that “Joy of Giving” movement is being organised by Give India Movement across the country to create brotherhood among the people of the society and Rotary club would help organise public awareness programmes during September 27 to October 3.
Programmes like cycle rally and collecting toys and ration for poor children would be taken up during the week long campaign in Rajkot.
Activists and children from 210 schools will launch door to door campaign to collect ration like wheat and rice and toys which will be distributed among the children living in slum areas, he said.
A free medical camp will also be organised for disease like diabetic, dental and arthritis to be attended by prominent doctors of the city.
“The Joy of Giving” movement will be conducted across the country and about 2 crore children from all parts of the country will be participating in it.
