Thirteen people drowned in separate incidents in Kanpur, Siddharth Nagar and Azamgarh districts of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Thursday.
While two brothers — Mohammad Shahid (8) and Mohammad Sohail (7) —drowned in a pond in Jiyanpur area of Azamgarh on Thursday, eight persons drowned while taking bath in river Ganga in Kanpur on Wednesday, they said.
In Siddharth Nagar, three youth died while taking bath in a pond in Agya village in Dumariyaganj area on Wednesday.
