11 killed, 15 injured in road accidents in Bihar

Eleven people were killed and 15 others injured in separate road accidents in three districts of Bihar, police said on Saturday.

Seven labourers were killed and 11 others injured when a truck overturned near a police station on Sitamarhi-Sursand Highway in Sitamarhi district, they said.

The truck, with 18 labourers on board, was on its way to Sitamarhi from Varanasi when the driver lost control near Bathnaha police station, they said.

The injured were admitted to a government hospital where condition of five was stated to be critical.

In a separate accident in Munger district, two persons were killed when a truck hit a motorcycle near Briyarpur police station, police said.

In a third accident, two persons were killed and four others injured in a collision between a truck and a jeep at Rehpura village on Nawada-Gaya highway in Nawada district.

The injured were admitted to a government hospital in Nawada town, they added.
