Ten senior Indian Administrative Service officers were transferred in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.
The reshuffle, which was necessitated because of the retirement of senior IAS officers, comes within a week of the change in the Ministers in-charge of different districts in the State.
R.P. Mondal, an IAS officer of the 1987 batch and currently posted as Chief Secretary in the State Forest Department, has been asked to take over as Principal Secretary of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Mr. Mondal will assume his new duties next month when the current Chief Secretary M.K. Raut retires. Mr. Mondal has also been given additional responsibility as Director of the State Institute of Rural Development.
C.K.Khetan, an IAS officer of the 1987 batch and currently posted as Director of the State Administrative Academy, will replace Mr. Mondal as the Chief Secretary the Forest Department “until further orders”.
Sonmani Bora, an IAS officer of the 1999 batch and currently posted as Secretary of the Social Welfare and Sports Department, has been posted as Secretary of the Water Resource Department and religious trusts.
Devi Lal Singh, Secretary of the Cooperative and General Administration Department, has been posted as Secretary of the Commercial Tax and Excise Department. Avinash Champawat, an IAS officer of the 2003 batch and posted as Chhattisgarh’s Labour Commissioner, has been transferred to Sarguja as the Divisional Commissioner.
Rita Shandilya, Divisional Commissioner of Sarguja, will take over as Special Secretary (with independent charge) of the General Administration and Cooperative Department.
R. Prassna, an IAS officer of the 2004 batch and posted as Director of the Health Department, has been asked to take over as Special Secretary of the Social Welfare and Sports Department. R. Shangita, Special Secretary of the General Administration Department, has been transferred as Special Secretary of the Labour Department.
Dharmesh Shahu, an IAS officer of the 2010 batch and Registrar of Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University in Raipur, has been posted as Director of the Sports Department and Deputy Secretary of the Cooperative Department.
Sarveshwar Bhure has been transferred as Director of the National Rural Health Mission in Raipur.
