The Union government has taken the use of 3D from campaign rallies to the roads. This time, it’s virtual speed breakers in the form of 3D paintings.
Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari has mooted this idea to curb the menace of rash driving. “We are trying out 3D paintings used as virtual speed breakers to avoid unnecessary requirements of speed breakers,” he tweeted.
However, this is not the first instance where art has been used to moderate vehicle traffic on the roads. Many activists have, over the last few years, used the art form as a medium to express their displeasure over the condition of roads. >Continue reading
