"The UPA has failed on all fronts, especially in controlling price rise," TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu said.

Telugu Desam Party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said non-UPA and non-NDA parties would soon meet to decide on their future course of action to corner the Centre on price rise and other issues.

“The UPA has failed on all fronts, especially in controlling price rise. The non-Congress, non-BJP front will launch another agitation against the Centre,” he told journalists after meeting CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat and CPI leader A.B. Bardhan here.

Farmers' plight

Mr. Naidu also called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and explained to him the difficulties faced by farmers in Andhra Pradesh.

“I explained to Dr. Singh the farmers' condition and also their problems. The State government has failed to protect their interests.”

The TDP chief asked Dr. Singh to take steps to control the spiralling price rise.
