No cause can ever justify terror, says Krishna

November 26, 2010 11:36 pm | Updated 11:36 pm IST - COLOMBO:

External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna on Friday called upon Pakistan to dismantle the ‘terror machine operating with impunity' within its territories and bring all the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks to speedy justice.

In a statement coinciding with the second anniversary of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, the Minister, now on a four-day visit to Sri Lanka, said the day was a stark reminder that no cause can ever justify terror, either by State or non-State actors.

Mr. Krishna pointed out that India sought peaceful, stable and cooperative relations with Pakistan and it was committed to resolving all outstanding issues through dialogue.

“I went to Islamabad last July and have invited my counterpart to New Delhi for further talks,” he said.
