Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Monday said the views expressed by former Congress leader Kanwar Natwar Singh in his book, One life is not enough , were his own and strictly personal. He said that though Mr. Natwar Singh was his senior in college and his good friend, he did not congratulate the former senior bureaucrat on the release of his book. “I am yet to read or acquire the book,” said the Chief Minister who is fond of reading and also claims to be writing his autobiography.

“Majority people are reacting by reading just a few excerpts from the book but they should read the entire book before forming an opinion,” said Mr. Virbhadra Singh.

On the issue of Haryana Congress leader Chaudhary Birender Singh joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Mr. Virbhadra Singh, who was extremely critical of him, called it his personal choice.

Mr. Birender Singh, who was the party in-charge of Himachal Pradesh during the assembly elections in 2012, was earlier blamed by the Chief Minister and termed a “conniver with the BJP.”
