Natwar Singh’s security withdrawn

Security for the former External Affairs Minister, Natwar Singh, was on Tuesday withdrawn by the government. Protection for several other VIPs, including Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman Buta Singh and the expelled Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh, was also scaled down.

After an exercise to prune the security of Z and Z-plus category VIPs, the Home Ministry decided to withdraw security for the 69-year-old Natwar Singh, official sources said.
