Mumbai attacks: Four depose in Ville Parle case

Four witnesses related to the Ville Parle taxi blast, part of the 26/11 terror strike, deposed before the special sessions court on Friday.

Witness Usha Chowdhary, sister-in-law of Hyderabad-resident Laxminarayan Goyal who died in the blast, spoke of how Mr. Goyal had taken the fateful taxi ride after his train to Hyderabad was cancelled following the firing at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST). Mr. Goyal’s daughter was also present in court. Taxi owner Abdul Rahim Shaik and a friend of the deceased taxi driver Umar Sheikh testified for the slain driver. Eyewitness Shyamsunder Chowdhury, who was injured in the blast , said he saw the taxi almost being thrown in the air.
