Modi-led panel clears high-level appointments

Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Friday effected yet another round of postings of bureaucrats, approving appointments at senior positions.

Alok Kumar, an IAS officer of the 1984 batch, has been made Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission.

Anant Kumar Singh has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Home Ministry, whereas Raghvendra Singh has been made Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation.

While T. Vijayakumar is now Director-General, Council for Advancement of People’s Action and Rural Technology, M.J. Joseph has been placed as Director-General, Bureau of Indian Standards and D.V. Prasad as Additional Secretary in the Women and Child Development Ministry.

Deepak Kumar has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Labour Ministry, Deepak Shetty is now Director-General (Shipping) and Vijaya Shrivastava is Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser to the Health Ministry.

Ajay Narayan Jha is Additional Secretary with the Department of Expenditure and Alok Shrivastava is Additional Secretary with the Shipping Ministry.
