Modi greets Omar on his birthday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted National Conference leader and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on his 45th birthday and wished him a long life, a gesture appreciated by the National Conference working President.

“Dear @abdullah_omar, wishing you a very Happy Birthday.

May you be blessed with a long life filled with good health,” he tweeted.

“thank you very much Jenab, your message on my birthday is much appreciated,” Mr. Abdullah Omar tweeted in reply to the message of the Prime Minister.

Born in 1970, Omar was the 12th Chief Minister of the state at the age of 38.
