M.K. Pandhe lecture: Karat clarifies

Prakash Karat, general secretary of the CPI(M) has issued the following clarification:

The report in The Hindu (November 20) regarding my speech at the M.K. Pandhe memorial lecture has conveyed an incorrect impression. Nowhere in my speech had I said that the working class movement should learn from the RSS. On the contrary, the entire thrust of the speech was on the necessity for the working class movement to counter the Hindutva ideology and the work of the RSS-related organisations in the various spheres, including the social, cultural and educational fields.
