Mizoram Governor Vakkom Purushothaman has said he would tender his resignation on Friday.
Mr. Purushothaman, who arrived here on Thursday evening, told reporters that he had decided to resign in the light of his transfer (to Nagaland with additional charge of Tripura) without consulting him. “They have transferred me without consulting me. I will resign tomorrow [Friday]. I will remain active in the party, but there will be no more electoral politics,” Mr. Purushothaman said.
