Hours after India Against Corruption member Arvind Kejriwal made allegations of corruption against Robert Vadra on Friday, Congress president Sonia Gandhi reportedly asked senior Ministers and party spokespersons to mount a defence of her son-in-law.
Over the evening, statements poured in from Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni, Union Environment Minister Jayanthi Natarajan and Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda, while Law Minister Salman Khurshid appeared on the Newshour debate on Times Now to say, “Let them give us proof that will be verified by agencies and courts and then level such allegations.”

Vadra is an individual and he is not in Govt or congress party.What he
does is his private affair.The mere fact that so many ministers and
congress leaders come to his rescue, speaks volumes.It is evident that
there is more to hide than revealed!
Law minister Salman left the debate in between, when Kejriwal reminded
him that he is the Law minister of the country but not for the Congress
party and its family. Did anyone see that video? LOL.

Where is our opposition parties ????
Where is our media ???? or Great Fourth estate ???? ( Beneficiaries of
Death --- Estate Tax).....What is their stand on this case????
Where is govt. agencies to protect India from corruption ???? etc
I badly feel we are under unofficially declared emergency period ????
or under strong censorship ...
everybody claiming they are standing in favour of general public
welfare .....and encourage radical thoughts of some "Ism"s. And
blocking freedom of speech and thought ....

only the persons related to congress party are honest,and the whole
world is dishonest and wrong.now they will start abusing anna how he
could comment about a person or dynasty which is apart from any type of
sin,after few years everybody in India will think,why they brought these
persons in power and that too for such a long time.
THINK OVER IT WHERE WE DID MISTAKE BEFORE 8 YEARS.
Mr. Vadra is not a political entity, then why do all the ministers and congressmen put into service in his defence? He is a matured citizen, let him defend himself like other citizens and let the facts and truth related to his dealings come out into the open.
'Son-in-law syndrome' is our new malaise. The calibre of the sons in
law of the dynasty have also declined, it appears, over the years.
Fifty years back, the son in law of the dynasty was an eminent MP; he
made a memorable speech in the Parliament which led to the Mundhra
Inquiry, resignation of FM and punishment to several civil servants.
Now the son in law of the family is on a spree acquiring properties
cheaply. If the same way, had a govt. official amasssed property the
CBI and Central Vigilance would have arrested him and the govt, would
have suspended him. Standards are different for politicians
especially for the dynasty family,. NO wonder The Economist wrote in
a leader a fortnight back that the dynasty has become irrelevant india
and needs to be dumped. So shall we at the next elections.
Congress has grown lothful group of ministers and politicians to do such dirty jobs only.
I never heard so many people supporting a common man's cause. These fellows are showing exemplary unity in supporting a not so common man's ways.
This is nothing but unity in corruption instead of unity in diversity which India is known for. I will not be suprised if our Prime minister joins the fray and defend such unfair buisness practices of
Mr. Vadra because he is son in law of COngress President.

Once an allegation is made,the accused should either dismiss it or go
for defamation suit.Instead here in this country, the president of the
Congress party asks the govt ministers to defend her son-in-law.Are these
ministers the personal fiefdom of Soniaji?Why should govt
ministers defend a citizen in such a case. The law minister says they
will teach a lesson to the accuser.He is talking like a thug.The whole
episode shows how the congress party has degenerated into a cesspool of
corruption.God save India.
I do not know why the ministers have to defend accused Vadra.It should
be done through proper papers of transactions and explain it rightfully
to the tax payers of India . As simple as that.
As far as we are aware, Robert Vadra, however highly connected he may be,is just an ordinary citizen holding no official position in the Government. As such the Ministers have no right to issue statements in defence of Vadra on the allegations levelled againt him by Kejriwal.
Which agency will verify the allegations? The Congress Bureau of
Intimidation?
And since when did it become the duty of the heads of the Executive to
defend private individuals on the command of some individual who is
not a part of the executive, but of the legislative, which is
supposedly an independent institution? Are we back to the Giani ideals
whence we saw the First Citizen of India declare that he was Indira
Gandhi's servant?
If the Supreme Court is to live up to its ideal as the last bastion of
justice, fairness and decency in the country, it should take
cognizance of these allegations suo moto and start an investigation.
Furthermore, it should attempt to insulate the investigation from the
so-called "agencies" as far as possible.
What a band of devoted ministers and leaders we have in the grand old
party of the nation that they have rushed forward to the rescue of a son
in law of the dynasty; wish they could have exhibited the same despatch
and concern for the myriad ills plaguing the people of this country!
Sonia Gandhi's family is in India for only one purpose. Siphon off India's treasury as much as you can. MM Singh and his ministers are not going to object. The best Indians can do not to allow her to make Rahul as Prime Minister. By taking back Raja and Suresh Kalamadi, Manmohan Singh has already proved his credentials.
The whole government machinery is now being used to save the corrupt.
Unless nepotism and corruption are abolished with an iron fist, India
can never prosper
I bet Robert Vadra will get a clean chit in all this matter, because he
is the Ruling party's Son-in-Law.
Major leading newspapers will not flash the news in headlines.
Such a pity on our country and all we countrymen.
