FB to host live Q&A session with MEA spokesperson today

As part of its public diplomacy initiative, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs will participate in a live question-answer session on Facebook on India’s external engagements on Tuesday.

The 45-minute session will start at 3:30 p.m. during which Ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin will answer various questions.

“The Official Spokesperson of MEA, India will be on Facebook for a live! Q&A session on MEA FB Page on 24th February at 1530 hrs to answer your questions,” said a post by the Ministry.

The Ministry’s Facebook page has a whopping 789,367 likes.

The Ministry has come on the top among various Ministries and government departments in terms of its digital presence on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+.

On micro-blogging site Twitter, Indian Diplomacy with its @IndianDiplomacy handle (the official account of India’s Public Diplomacy, Ministry of External Affairs) has as many as 3.25 lakh followers.
