A day after Parliament passed a resolution on issues connected with the Lokpal Bill, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called on President Pratibha Patil here on Sunday and briefed her on it.

“The Prime Minister briefed the President about the ongoing session of Parliament and also on the consensus resolution passed in both Houses on Saturday on matters relating to the Lokpal Bill,” a Rashtrapati Bhavan release said. The meeting lasted 30 minutes.

The current session has witnessed uproarious scenes leading to repeated adjournments including protesting the arrest and detention of social activist Anna Hazare earlier this month.
