West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday met President Pranab Mukherjee at Raj Bhavan here for the second time during the head of state’s three-day visit and they were understood to have discussed the state’s financial situation.

The President, who was supposed to leave for Delhi after laying the foundation stone of a Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Museum here, returned to Raj Bhavan.

Raj Bhavan sources said that Ms. Banerjee had a one-on-one with the President for over an hour. Later, West Bengal finance minister Amit Mitra and industry minister Partha Chatterjee joined her. State Governor M K Narayanan was also present.

The Chief Minister however did not say anything regarding the meeting.
