Make China comply with WTO norms: Swadeshi Jagaran Manch

November 26, 2017 09:51 pm | Updated 10:26 pm IST - Kolkata

China must comply with World Trade Organisation’s [WTO] norms, the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch [SJM], the economic wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh [RSS], demanded at a recent meeting with a team designated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

India is “suffering due to heavy imports” from China which is enabled by Beijing’s non-compliance with WTO norms, an SJM memorandum to the Prime Minister said. The memorandum to the team led by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was handed over by an SJM delegation, led by Arun Ojha, national convenor of SJM.

China “has not complied” with WTO norms, argued Dhanpat Ram Agarwal, national co-convener of SJM and a member of the SJM team.
