Madhu Koda's interim bail plea rejected

A special court on Monday rejected an interim bail plea of the former Jharkhand Chief Minister, Madhu Koda, arrested for his alleged involvement in a Rs. 2,500-crore money laundering scam, and extended his judicial custody till November 4.

Mr. Koda, who made a personal appearance before the court, had moved the interim bail petition to attend the monsoon session of Parliament beginning November 7.

He has been in judicial custody ever since he was arrested on November 30 last year.
