Lucknow-Delhi bus service for women

The "Pink Express" is equipped with a vehicle tracking system, CCTVs and Wi-Fi and departs on its 12-hour journey at 7 p.m. daily

The Uttar Pradesh government has introduced a night bus service between Lucknow and Delhi exclusively for women at concessional fares.

The “Pink Express” has been started keeping in mind the comfort and safety of women passengers. The women conductor and guard are expected to give confidence to the passengers.

“The bus is equipped with a vehicle tracking system, CCTVs and Wi-Fi, keeping in mind the security concerns of women travellers and their family members,” Mukesh Meshram, Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, said.

The Lucknow-Delhi promotional tariff is Rs. 630 as against the Rs. 1,000 on other air-conditioned buses. The buses will leave Lucknow and Delhi at 7 p.m. every Friday for the 12-hour journey.
