Lok Sabha adjourned for the day

Both houses of parliament were adjourned on Tuesday for an hour within a few minutes after they met as members created a din over the Telangana and JPC report on the 2G scam.

The Lok Sabha was adjourned after MPs from the Seemandhra regions shouted slogans against division of Andhra Pradesh state to create Telangana, drowning out question hour.

Speaker Meira Kumar then adjourned the house till 12 noon and later for the whole day.

In the Rajya Sabha, members shouted out proceedings over the Joint Parliamentary Committee report on the 2G spectrum issue and Telangana issue.
