Live: Parliament proceedings — '100 smart cities will be developed in five years'

12:30 pm: Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu responds:There are two views, that there should be one common entrance examination, government is in favour of that. There are reports of irregularities in State exams. Only 18 per cent student pursuing education in English. Therefore, the Supreme Court should also take note of this fact. All details will be put before the court for consideration. Concerns of students would be conveyed.

12:05 pm: MPs urge for legislative action or ordinance to delay implementation of national eligibility pre-medical test. The Supreme Court has directed that centralised entrance examination be conducted at national level this year onwards.
