11.15 a.m.: The Governor's address concludes in 17 minutes. GSDP growth for 2015-16 targeted at 5.35 per cent. Industrial growth achieved last year was 4.1 per cent, service sector grows by 9.7 per cent. Per capita income of Telangana State at Rs. 1,03,889 against Rs. 95,361 in 2013-14. 12 per cent quota planned for Scheduled Tribes.

11.10 a.m.: Telangana Government to take steps to increase forest cover: Governor. Scuffle breaks out between TRS and TDP members. TDP member Revanth Reddy jostled.

11.05 a.m.: Opposition parties — Congress, BJP, CPI, CPI(M) — begin protest, raise slogans as address goes on. Legislators throw speech copies into the well.

11 a.m.: Governor begins his address to Telangana Legislature on Day One of Budget session.

9.35 a.m.: Government thanks farmers who have come forward to give away their land for the capital, says Governor. 10000 pump sets will distributed to farmers in 2015-16.

9.30 a.m.: Rayalaseema to be made drought-proof. Plans afoot to make AP the best State in the country by 2029.

9.25 a.m.: The Governor says the government would accord top priority to ensure safety of women. Government is preparing 2050 vision document, he says in his address to the joint session of the Andhra Pradesh legislature.

9.20 a.m.: Andhra Pradesh's new capital will be a role model in the country, says Mr. Narasimhan. As many as 10,000 solar pump sets will be distributed in the year 2015-16. "Agreements have been made to ensure quality power supply in 2015-16."

9.15 a.m.: Governor says allocation of funds in the Union budget was not as expected by the people. Four new ports proposed in 2015-16.

9.10 a.m.: Despite a rainfall of 36 per cent this year, agriculture sector projected a growth of about 5 per cent and it's a good sign, says the Governor. The government wants to make the State the aquaculture capital of the country.

9.05 a.m.: Centre's assistance is necessary to ensure positive growth and avoid disturbances with neighbouring States: E.S.L. Narasimhan.

9 a.m.: Andhra Pradesh lost significant resource base after bifurcation, says the Governor.

8.55 a.m.: CM N. Chandrababu Naidu and MLAs welcome Governor E.S.L. Nararsimhan at the Assembly

8.45 a.m.: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu pays tributes at former Chief Minister N.T. Ramarao's samadhi enroute to Assembly.
