List of survivors and dead in Port Blair boat capsize released

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands administration has released a list giving details of the names of survivors and those who died in the boat capsize near Port Blair on Sunday evening. According to the list, the private tourist boat had 51 persons onboard and of them 21 died. Twenty nine persons were rescued and one person is missing.

Kancheepuram

The list of survivors from Kancheepuram is as follows: Ranga Nathan, K.Selva Raj, K.A.Tyagarajan, Baby Vinodhini, G.Valli, Pooja (all these persons are in hospital), N.Jaipal, J.Padmini, Ganga Bai, Gajendran, K.Gopal, Kumar Gurunathan, Preeti, Durai Raj and Shiva Nandan. All of them stayed at Palmgrove in the Islands

Those tourists from Kancheepuram who died are: D.Selva Rj, R.Karunakaran, W.G.Ganpathi, Durai Jai Kumar, S.Perumal, J.Usha, Sushila, K.Vanaja, S.Darshini, B.Shanthi Bai, V.Shanta, Anusuya, P.Menal, S.Manikandan, T.Anuradha and Anjalam. Suresh is reported missing. All these persons also stayed at Palmgrove.

Mumbai:

The list of survivors among the tourists from Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra who stayed at either Peerless Resort or Hotel TSG is as follows: Prathima Ashok Patil, Nivedita C.Bhosekar, Harshad Bhosekar, Poonam Singh (in hospital), Shree Prakash Sharma, Shreepee Singh and Shaleen Singh.

Lalji Singh, Chandrashekar Bhosekar and Alka Bhosekar, all from Mumbai, died in the boat capsize.

Other cities:

The list of survivors from other cities and where they stayed in the Islands is as follows: Nitin Sharma and Garima Sharma, both from Delhi and were at Blue Diamond; K.C.Babbar, resident of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh and who stayed at Hotel TSG has been hospitalised; similarly, Kaushik Das of Kolkata who stayed in Hotel Shalini has been hospitalised.

Raman Babbar of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh and who stayed at Hotel TSG; and Juhi Ghosh of Kolkata who stayed in Hotel Shalini are dead, according to the list.

The boat master Prabhu and two crew members Uttam and Phagua, all of them residents of Port Blair have survived the incident, the list said.
