A Delhi court on Thursday discharged Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Syed Abdul Karim alias Tunda in two bomb blast cases at Karol Bagh and Sadar Bazar in Central Delhi in 1997.

The police had claimed that Tunda, an alleged bomb expert, was co-conspirator in both the cases.

Additional Sessions Judge Reetesh Singh acquitted him admitting counsel M.S. Khan’s argument that since the main accused in both the cases had been acquitted, his client also deserved to be let off.

Tunda will continue to be in jail as one case is pending against him.
