K.V.Prasad to head Press Association

Press Association now has a new head. K.V. Prasad of The Hindu was chosen as President of the organisation for 2009-10 at an election held here on Saturday.

The other office-bearers elected are Rajiv Ranjan Nag of Mahanagar daily as general secretary, Anil Anand of DNA as vice-president, and Manan Kumar of New Indian Express as joint secretary. Abhijit Roy Chowdhury of Jagran was elected unopposed as treasurer.
