MLAs belonging to the two parties, however, remain non-committal

September 22, 2012 02:02 am | Updated June 28, 2016 10:23 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Telangana Rashtra Samiti and BJP MLAs remained non-committal on Friday after Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy appealed to them to postpone the proposed Telangana March on September 30, scheduled a day ahead of the inaugural of the 11 Conference of Parties to the Convention of Biodiversity.

The Chief Minister made the appeal a day after the Telangana Ministers decided to request the T-JAC leaders to call off the march in view of the Ganesh immersion ceremony on September 29 and 30 and the international meet from October 1.

Mr. Reddy met the BJP and TRS MLAs separately in his chambers. The BJP MLAs, G. Kishan Reddy, Y. Laxminarayana and Y. Srinivasa Reddy, accompanied by Government Whip T. Jayaprakash Reddy interacted first with Mr. Reddy, who urged them to postpone the march.
