Yuva Morcha protest turns violent

A march taken out on Saturday by activists of the Yuva Morcha to the Collectorate, demanding the resignation of Finance Minister K.M.Mani over the bar scam, turned violent.

The police deployed water cannons to disperse the activists who pushed through the barricades set up in front of the Collectorate.

The protesters ran helter-skelter as the water cannons were fired. They tried to assemble again, but the police prevented it. BJP district president A. Nagesh was present.

Yuva Morcha State president P. Sudheer inaugurated the march.
