In a gruesome incident, Rupesh (26) was killed when a speeding granite-laden lorry hit his two-wheeler and ran over his body on Thursday morning.
The mishap took place at the Punnathra junction along the Ettumanoor ? Pala road at around 10:45 a.m.
The victim, who hailed from Peroor, was killed instantly on the spot. The victim?s friend Anish, who was riding pillion in the two-wheeler, escaped with injuries.
This incident marks the fourth accident-related death in the district in three weeks.
