A woman, who was slated to submit her nomination as a candidate of the Congress for the forthcoming local body polls, allegedly committed suicide by setting herself ablaze at Arattupuzha here on Friday. According to the police, Reeja, 26, wife of late Vivek, was supposed to file her nominations this morning, but set herself ablaze at around 10.30 a.m. in her residence. Reeja is survived by her mother Nalini and a two-year-old daughter, Vismaya.
