A woman and her three-year-old child were found dead in an open well near their house at Kathirur on Thursday.
The police identified the woman as Roopini, 21. They were found drowned in the well at an uninhabited house near the rented house where she was staying with her husband.
The bodies were found early Thursday during a search after the woman and the child were missing from the house when her husband came home on Wednesday night.
