Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has asserted that the State government will go ahead with the ‘people’s contact programme.’

He told the media here on Monday that the government would not cow down before Opposition ‘threat.’ Opposing the programme is tantamount to registering anger against the people, he said when pointed out the Left Democratic Front’s stand of opposing the programme.

To another query, he said that no decision regarding the induction of K.B Ganesh Kumar into the Cabinet had been taken. The ruling United Democratic Front would discuss the issue and come out with an appropriate decision.

The Chief Minister participated in a book release function at Aashir Bhavan here and interacted with schoolchildren at Angamaly.
