Wayanad District Collector B.S. Thirumeni issued a temporary stop memo to E 3 theme park, a multi-recreational theme park of Western Ghats Green Initiative Private Limited at Neelom, Makkiyad, in Mananthavadi taluk on Friday.
Mr. Thirumeni said in his directive that the park was set up after land conversion and it was against the Land Utilisation Act, 1967, and Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland Act, 2008.
The them park project, set up on 32 acres of land at a cost of ₹52 crore, was scheduled to be opened on Sunday.
